A Lakeside crew, ten years up in the canopy

Arce's Lakeside Tree Service is a family-run tree care company with a stubborn opinion: most of the "tree guys" working out here cut corners, and Lakeside homeowners deserve better. Same crew on the trucks, same name on every estimate, backed by a long list of neighbors who keep us on the calendar year after year.

Who's actually on your property

When you book us, you get our crew — not a rotating cast of subcontractors pulled together for the week. The climbers are trained on East County's specific mix of trees: red gum and blue gum eucalyptus, coast live oak down in El Monte Valley, Mexican fan and Canary Island date palms, pepper, jacaranda, sycamore. Every cut follows ANSI A300 pruning standards, and the work gets done the way we'd want it done at our own place down the road.

The equipment that gets it done in one trip

Doing the work in-house only works if you have the right gear, and Lakeside lots make that even more true — long driveways, wide brush margins, septic and well heads to work around, and properties with no real neighbor close enough to lend a hand. Over the years we've built up our own climbing rigging, a 50-ton chipper, a stump grinder, a dump truck, and a skid steer with a claw attachment. That's how a removal, stump grinding, and full debris haul-away all happen in a single visit, even on the largest properties out here.

Why we stay local

We don't run a 60-mile radius of generic tree service ads. Most of our work happens within Lakeside, Santee, El Cajon, Alpine, Spring Valley, and Rancho San Diego — places we know by street, not by ZIP. That's how we can quote accurately, schedule realistically, and respond fast when a Santa Ana rolls through and the phone starts going off at 6 a.m.

Fire-season ready

Lakeside backs right onto the brush, and a lot of our regular work is straight-up fire prep — palm-skirt removal, ladder-fuel clearing, deadwood pruning, and pulling weight off limbs near the structure. We know what defensible-space pruning is supposed to look like under county rules and we'll tell you exactly what you need (and what you don't) to bring a property up to standard before the next red-flag day.

If you're thinking of calling

Single hazard limb after a windy night, a row of palms overdue for cleaning before fire season, a half-acre that needs clearing for a remodel — whatever it is, get in touch and we'll come walk it with you. Estimate's free, written, and there's no pressure to book on the spot.
